Kindness Cards, in support of Rachel's Challenge, Operation Smile & Kids Against Hunger, allow people to track and measure how one simple act of kindness can start a Chain Reaction of Kindness around the globe and touch the lives of many!
By using a cool online technology, kindness can be tracked by uniquely identified Kindness Cards, which each have a distinct ID code that enables the Kindness Card to be tracked as it travels the globe.
Picture This: Your neighbor knocks on your door and hands you what looks like a gift card, and explains that he took the time to mow your lawn. He lets you know that this is his act of kindness to you and that someone else gave him that card when they bought him his coffee that morning. He excitedly tells you to go online to check it out and then pass it on.
Intrigued, you go to your computer, visit this website and type in the ID code on the Kindness Card. On the next page you see that the Kindness Card currently in your hand first started in Colorado then travelled to Canada back to the US in New York and finally got to you! You also see each act of kindness that was given along the way! Someone in Colorado babysat for free; another painted a friend a beautiful painting, and a kind soul in New York returned someone's grocery cart in the cold winter.
Now it's your turn to do an Act of Kindness and pass the Kindness Card to someone else! Each time your Kindness Card is acknowledged online, you will receive an email notifying you where the Kindness Card is in the world and the difference it is making!
